Dr. Karmela is an expert in Organization Development and Business Excellence. She currently works with the QFC Regulatory Authority in the Strategy & Organisational Development Department. She is also the CEO of the International Excellence Institute.
She holds a doctorate degree in Business Administration from San Beda University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with the Outstanding Dissertation and Visionary Award. Additionally, she holds master’s degrees in LLM International Trade and Commercial Law from the University of Essex, United Kingdom, and an Executive MBA from the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business. She is also a Fellow of Chartered Management Institute, UK and holds numerous professional certifications.
She served as the Head of Qatar Professional Women’s Network. She is one of the Founding Members of IAM Filipina, a non-profit organization in Qatar that supports the development of Filipinas in leadership and management roles.
